Movie Nights

A night at the movies with your friends is always fun!  Add to that popcorn and drinks and it's even better. 

Here are some questions we like to use to guide our conversation about each film after it is over.  They work great as a way to talk with your family and friends about movies too.

Movie Discussion Questions

These questions do not have a right answer.  Often each person will have a different answer.  And they are all correct!  Have fun and learn about how film and literature can mean different things to different people. 

 

• What is this story about?
• What is the moral of this story?
• What character(s) do you like most?
• What character(s) do you most closely identify with?
• How does this movie make you feel?
• How does the director create those feelings?                        
  • (light/dark, colors, camera angle, music, setting, etc.)
• Does this movie inspire you to do something or act in any particular way?
  • Is this a healthy or a destructive impulse?
